Adam Montgomery, born in Scotland on the July 18th, 2002, is a hard-nosed footballer who currently finds his place in the heart of Livingston's defence. This stoic lad, standing at 5ft 8in (1.73m) and weighing in at 9st 6lb (60kg), portrays himself on the pitch by sporting the number 3 on the back of his jersey.
Montgomery started his professional football journey with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership in July of 2009. The 2020-2021 season marked his debut with the Celtic first team, making two appearances in league matches. The 2021-2022 season saw him making more strides on the pitch, adding another eight first team appearances to his tally.
In a surprising turn of events in January 2022, Montgomery was loaned out to Aberdeen in the same league. His stay was brief, but he managed to get seven league matches under his belt. By June 2022, he was back at Celtic. Despite enjoying more first team action, Celtic loaned him out again in July 2022 - this time to St Johnstone in the Scottish Championship. Montgomery shined, appearing in 28 first team league matches.
A brief return to Celtic in June 2023 paved the way for yet another loan move, with Montgomery joining Fleetwood Town in English League Two in July 2023. However, his stint was cut short, returning to Celtic in January 2024. Still showing promise, but unable to secure a spot in Celtic's lineup, he was sent on loan to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.
In an unusual twist, Montgomery found his feet back in Celtic by February 2024, but not for long. He was later loaned to Queen's Park in the Scottish Championship in February 2025, where he managed 12 first team appearances and even notched up a goal. In the year of our lord 2025, he found himself back at Celtic once again.
In a move that likely surprised no one, Montgomery was loaned out once again in July 2025. He landed at Livingston this time, where he currently plays his football. So far in the 2025-2026 season, he's made a statement, representing his club in eight league matches and even netting a goal in the League Cup.
