Adam Montgomery, born in Scotland on 18 July 2002 (age 24), is a left-back on Celtic’s books, wearing squad number 54. He joined Celtic from Aberdeen in June 2022, arriving as a young player still trying to turn a clear position and decent promise into regular senior football.
His Celtic honours record includes two Premiership titles, in 2021/22 and 2024/25, and a League Cup, with one Premiership runners-up finish also on the ledger. That gives his early career a fair bit of silverware, though his own path has also needed minutes elsewhere rather than just medals in Glasgow.
The most productive league season of his career so far came at Queen’s Park in 2024/25, where he scored once in 12 appearances. For a developing full-back, that sort of spell matters: senior games, proper demands, and less room for theory.
Montgomery remains a Scottish left-back attached to Celtic, with his career still in the stage where opportunity and consistency will decide how much further it goes.
