Aidan Borland, born on 25 April 2007 (age 19), is a Scottish central midfielder who came through Celtic before moving south at an early stage of his career.
He left Celtic in July 2023 for Aston Villa, with the fee put at around £300,000. It was the familiar academy-pathway calculation: a young player with promise, a bigger English setup ready to take the punt, and Celtic banking a fee before the first-team question had properly arrived.
