Alexander Briedl, born on 21 April 2002 (age 24), is an Austrian central defensive midfielder now with Aberdeen, where he wears the number 10 shirt.
His career to this point is built mainly on his spell at Blau-Weiss Linz. Across four seasons there, he made 93 league appearances and scored three league goals, giving him the sort of steady senior base many midfielders of his age are still trying to find.
The 2023-24 season was his most productive league campaign at Blau-Weiss Linz, with 22 appearances and one goal. It was not a gaudy record, but it underlined his regular involvement in a side where he became a familiar part of the midfield structure.
