Despite only making five first team appearances during his inaugural 2022 - 2023 season in Austria, he promptly returned to his parent club, Liverpool, in January 2023 upon completion of his loan.
Not long after his return to England, August 2023 saw Koumetio loaned out once more, this time venturing back to his native France with Dunkerque in Ligue 2. After eight first team appearances throughout his Ligue 2 2023 - 2024 campaign, he was once again whisked back to England in February 2024 to play for Blackburn Rovers in the Championship on loan.
August 2024 marked the next chapter of Koumetio's career, with a permanent move away from Liverpool to Dundee in the Scottish Premiership for an undisclosed fee. His debut 2024 - 2025 season in Scotland accounted for 19 first team appearances, with 14 more in the current 2025 - 2026 season to date. In addition, his contributions to Dundee's 2025 - 2026 League Cup and Scottish Cup campaigns included a goal in his two League Cup starts, as well as a further start in the latter tournament.
