Bjorn Meijer (born 18 March 2003, age 23) is a Dutch left-back whose senior career has been shaped mainly at Club Brugge. He wears the number 14 shirt and is valued at around £5m by Transfermarkt.
His first full league season at Brugge remains his most productive in front of goal: three goals in 30 league appearances in 2022-23. Across four seasons with the club, he has made 76 league appearances and scored five times, which gives a fair sense of his role – involved, trusted, and used regularly rather than merely passing through.
In 2025-26, Meijer has continued to matter to the Brugge first team. He has made 21 league appearances, scoring once, and 49 appearances in all competitions, including Champions League and qualifying matches. That is not background-player territory.
Meijer is still a developing player, but his career already has a clear centre of gravity at Club Brugge. For now, he remains a regular left-back in a side where his place has been earned over several seasons.
