Callum Slattery, born on 8 February 1999 (age 27), is an English central defensive midfielder whose senior career has been shaped above all by Motherwell. He wears number eight and, according to Transfermarkt, is currently valued at around £383,000.
Loan football formed part of his development before he found a proper home at Fir Park. Since then, Motherwell have been the constant: five seasons, 125 league appearances and 16 league goals. That is not a cameo or a passing stop. It is the main body of his career.
His most productive league season came in 2024–25, when he scored six times in 15 appearances. In 2025–26 he has remained a regular part of the side, making 30 league appearances and scoring three goals, with further outings in both domestic cups. Across all competitions this season he has played 37 times for Motherwell.
Slattery is not a headline-grabbing name, but he has become a durable and relevant first-team player at Motherwell. His career to this point is plainly centred on Fir Park, where he has moved from development case to established senior midfielder.
