Chris Cadden, born on 19 September 1996 (age 29), is a Scottish right-back whose senior career has been built on steady first-team football rather than much noise around it.
He came through at Motherwell, with early loan football helping to harden him up before he became a proper part of their side. His most productive league season came in 2016–17, when he scored three times in 36 league appearances for Motherwell.
Cadden is now primarily a right-back for Hibernian, where he remains a regular first-team presence in 2025–26. So far this season he has made 20 league appearances and scored once, with further involvement in the League Cup, Europa League qualifying and Conference League qualifying. Across all competitions for Hibs in 2025–26, he has made 27 appearances and scored twice.
His career has been a straightforward one: developed at Motherwell, shaped by early senior minutes, and still relevant at Hibernian as an experienced Scottish Premiership player.
