Christian Fassnacht, born on 11 November 1993 (age 32), is a Switzerland international right winger whose career is tied most clearly to Young Boys. There are other lines on the CV, but none with anything like the same weight.
At Young Boys, Fassnacht has made 233 league appearances across nine seasons, scoring 87 league goals. That is a substantial body of work for a wide player, and it explains why he remains more than a familiar name in Bern. His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
He has not drifted into the background either. In 2025–26, wearing squad number 16, he made 33 Super League appearances and scored 18 goals, his most productive league season. Across all competitions for Young Boys, he played 41 times and scored 19 goals, including seven Europa League appearances and one goal.
Fassnacht has also remained involved with Switzerland, making two appearances in European World Cup qualifying during the same season. His career is not hard to place: a Swiss international wide player, long established at Young Boys, and still a regular contributor rather than a name being carried by reputation.
