Connor Barron, born on 29 August 2002 (age 23), is a Scottish central midfielder currently with Rangers. He made his senior name at Aberdeen, where his best league return came in 2022–23: one goal in 17 appearances. That tells you enough about the type of midfielder he is – not a scorer, but a player used for structure and work in the middle of the park.
His move on to Rangers put him under a sharper light, as tends to happen across the city. In 2025–26 he remains a regular first-team presence, with 27 league appearances and six in the Europa League. Across all competitions for Rangers that season, he has made 33 appearances without scoring.
Barron is still a developing player, but not a fringe name. His career so far has moved from Aberdeen promise to regular involvement at Rangers, with his value lying more in midfield reliability than anything especially showy.
