Dan Barlaser, born on 18 January 1997 (age 29), is an English defensive midfielder whose senior career has been built on steady involvement rather than much noise. His most productive league season came at Rotherham United in 2020–21, when he scored three goals in 33 appearances.
He is now at Hibernian, where he remains a regular first-team presence in 2025–26. Barlaser has made 33 league appearances without scoring, along with one outing in each of the League Cup and Scottish Cup, taking him to 35 appearances in all competitions for the Edinburgh side.
His form this season has been solid overall, though there has been a slight dip lately. Valued at around £1.5m by Transfermarkt, Barlaser is an established professional currently holding a regular place in Hibernian’s midfield.
