Dane Scarlett, born on 24 March 2004 (age 22), is an English striker with Hibernian, where he wears squad number 44. He is still in the developing bracket rather than the finished article, which is probably the sensible way to view him.
His best league return so far came at Portsmouth in 2022–23, when he scored four times in 30 appearances. It was not a flood of goals, but it did give him regular senior football and a clearer measure of the step from promise to week-by-week responsibility.
In 2025–26, Scarlett has made 11 league appearances for Hibs without scoring. His form has been solid and consistent, if not yet especially productive in front of goal. His market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Scarlett’s career remains at the stage where minutes, role and end product matter more than reputation. For now, he is an established young professional trying to turn senior experience into a more reliable scoring record.
