Dylan Smith, born on 21 January 2006 (age 20), is a Scottish central defender whose career has been shaped almost entirely at Ross County. At 6ft 3in (1.90m), he has the frame for the job, and his senior football has largely come in Dingwall rather than through a more scattered route.
His breakthrough season was 2022-23, when he made 13 league appearances for Ross County. That remains his busiest league campaign to date and gave him an early base at a club where young defenders are usually asked to learn quickly and without much fuss.
Across five seasons with Ross County, Smith has made 49 league appearances. In 2026-27, he has added two league outings, along with four League Cup appearances and one in the Scottish Cup. His career is still developing, but it is already clearly tied to Ross County, where most of his senior football has been played.
