Elie Youan, born on 7 April 1999 (age 27), is a French left winger whose senior career has come to be shaped mainly by Hibernian. His development included early loan football, but it is at Easter Road that he has built the body of work that matters.
His best league return came in 2022–23, when he scored nine times in 36 league appearances for Hibs. Across four seasons with the club, he has made 97 league appearances and scored 20 league goals – enough to make his Hibernian spell the clear centre of his career rather than just another stop.
In 2025–26, Youan remains a first-team presence, with 17 league appearances and four league goals. He has also appeared in the League Cup, Scottish Cup, Europa League qualifying and Conference League qualifying, taking him to 23 appearances and four goals for Hibernian in all competitions this season. His form has been solid, though he has been out of the matchday squad recently, with his last appearance coming in the 1-0 defeat at Hearts on 10 February 2026.
Youan’s career is still a developing one, but its shape is clear enough: early loan experience, then a sustained spell at Hibernian where he has become a regular attacking option.
