Eljif Elmas, born on 24 September 1999 (age 26), is a Macedonian left-sided attacker now with RB Leipzig. His current market value is around £13m, according to Transfermarkt.
His early career gave him the usual education away from the centre of attention, with loan football helping to harden up a player who was still working out exactly where he fitted in the front line. That development mattered, but it is not where the career is really measured.
Napoli is the club that gives Elmas’s record its shape. Across six seasons there, he made 176 league appearances and scored 15 league goals, used often enough to matter but not always in one fixed role. His best league return came in 2022–23, when he scored six times in 36 appearances.
He later moved on to RB Leipzig, where he has continued as a wide attacking option rather than the central figure he occasionally looked capable of becoming in Italy. His career to this point is straightforward enough: early development, a long and substantial Napoli spell, and then a move to Germany for the next stage.
