Evan Ferguson, born on 19 October 2004 (age 21), is a Republic of Ireland striker with Roma, wearing squad number 11. His current market value is around £21.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His career is still shaped most clearly by Brighton & Hove Albion. Across four seasons there he made 60 league appearances and scored 13 league goals, enough to establish him as a serious young centre-forward without quite removing the usual questions that follow a player of his age. His best league return came in 2022-23, when he scored six times in 19 appearances.
Ferguson is now part of Roma’s first-team picture. In 2025-26 he has made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Italian club, scoring five goals: three in Serie A and two in the Europa League. He has also remained relevant for the Republic of Ireland, scoring three times in four European World Cup qualifiers this season.
He was linked with a move to Celtic in December 2024, June 2025 and December 2025 while at Roma. For now, his career remains a Brighton-formed one being tested in Italy, with regular football at club level and a useful scoring return for Ireland keeping him firmly in view.
