Ezri Konsa (born 23 October 1997, age 28) is an England central defender whose senior record is heavily weighted towards Aston Villa. Wearing number 4, he has made 231 league appearances for Villa across eight seasons, scoring eight league goals.
His most productive league season came in 2020-21, when he scored twice in 36 appearances, but his worth to Villa has been more about continuity than noise. In 2025-26 he has remained a regular presence, with 34 league appearances and 47 in all competitions, including 12 in the Europa League and two goals in that competition.
That club standing has also kept him in the England picture. He has made eight World Cup appearances, scoring once, and seven European World Cup qualifying appearances, also with one goal.
Transfermarkt values him at around £30m. Konsa’s career is, in practical terms, an Aston Villa one: an established Premier League centre-half, still relevant in the side, with international football running alongside it.
