Giorgos Vagiannidis, born on 12 September 2001 (age 24), is a Greece international right back now with Sporting CP, where he wears squad number 13.
His career has been built largely at Panathinaikos. Across five seasons there he made 71 league appearances and scored twice, giving him the sort of grounding young full backs do not always get. His 2019-20 league season was brief but useful enough: one appearance, one goal.
That Panathinaikos spell remains the main body of his senior work, rather than a footnote before Portugal. Sporting CP is his current club, but the evidence of his career so far still points back to Athens.
