In-beom Hwang, born on 20 September 1996 (age 29), is a South Korea international midfielder currently with Feyenoord. A central midfielder rather than a headline act, he has built his career on steady involvement and enough end product to matter without pretending he is something more exotic.
His most productive league season came at Red Star in 2023–24, when he scored five goals in 27 appearances. That spell gave him a platform before his move to Feyenoord, where he remains a regular first-team presence in 2025–26.
This season he has made 24 appearances in all competitions for Feyenoord, including 17 in the Eredivisie, with one goal. He has also featured in Champions League qualifying, the KNVB Beker and the Europa League, which gives a fair picture of his current standing: involved, trusted, and still part of the working core of the side.
At international level, Hwang has continued to be used by Korea Republic, including appearances in Asian World Cup qualifying and one World Cup appearance in which he scored. His market value is around £8.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Hwang’s career has taken him from Red Star to Feyenoord as an established senior midfielder, with regular club football and ongoing international involvement keeping him firmly in view.
