Issa Doumbia is an Italian central midfielder, born on 16 October 2003 (age 22), now with Sporting CP. His market value is around £7m, according to Transfermarkt.
His career to this point is still shaped mainly by AlbinoLeffe. Across three seasons there he made 78 league appearances and scored four league goals, giving him the sort of first-team grounding young midfielders either use properly or waste. In his case, it became the base for a move up the ladder.
Doumbia’s most productive league campaign came at Venezia in 2025-26, when he scored eight goals in 37 appearances. That was the season which pushed his profile beyond the more modest surroundings of AlbinoLeffe and into a different market.
He is now at Sporting CP, where in 2026-27 he has made one Liga Portugal appearance and one UEFA U21 appearance. He was linked with a move to Celtic in May 2026 while at Sporting CP, but that was transfer talk rather than a completed move.
Doumbia’s senior career is still developing, but its shape is clear enough: AlbinoLeffe gave him the main body of work, Venezia brought a sharper scoring return, and Sporting CP is the current step.
