Jakub Moder, born on 4 July 1999 (age 27), is a Poland international midfielder now with Feyenoord, where he wears the No 7 shirt. A centre midfielder by trade, he came through at Lech Poznan before an early loan to Odra Opole gave him proper senior football away from the more sheltered academy route.
That spell mattered. Moder returned to Lech better prepared for first-team demands and had his most productive league season in 2019-2020, scoring five goals in 26 appearances. It was the sort of campaign that moved him from promising domestic player to someone being watched beyond Poland.
Brighton then took him to England, with Moder initially spending further time back at Lech before joining up with the Premier League club. His years there were shaped by flashes of technical quality, international progress with Poland, and injury disruption that slowed what had looked a clean upward line.
He is now at Feyenoord, with one Europa League appearance in 2026-2027 and one appearance in total for the club so far. He has also remained involved with Poland this season, making four appearances in European World Cup qualifying. His current market value is around £10m, according to Transfermarkt.
Moder’s career has run from Lech’s development system, through a useful loan education, on to Brighton and now Feyenoord. At 27, he is an established Poland international looking to build regular club rhythm again.
