Jean-Baptiste Gorby (born 25 July 2002, age 24) is a French central midfielder whose senior career has been shaped mainly at SC Braga. His current market value is around £4.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Braga have been the constant. Across five seasons with the club, Gorby has made 69 league appearances and scored three league goals, enough to make the Portuguese side the clear centre of his career rather than just another stop on the way.
The useful detour came at Paços de Ferreira, where he had his most productive league season in 2023-24. That loan spell brought 34 league appearances and two goals, giving him the sort of regular football young midfielders tend to need before anyone gets too carried away about them.
