Jean Butez is a French goalkeeper, born on 8 June 1995 (age 31), now with Como, where he wears the number 1 shirt. His current market value is around £3m, according to Transfermarkt.
His earlier senior football included a spell at Royal Excel Mouscron, where he made eight league appearances in 2017-18. For a goalkeeper, that sort of season is less about headline numbers than establishing trust, and Butez has built his career in the usual unforgiving way for the position.
At Como in 2026-27, he has made six Serie A appearances and two in the Champions League, giving him eight appearances across all competitions. It is a tidy snapshot of an established goalkeeper working at a strong level, without much need for decoration.
