Jordan Smith, born on 8 December 1994 (age 31), is an English goalkeeper now with Hibernian, where he wears squad number 13.
His career is still most closely tied to Nottingham Forest. That was where he made his main impression, with 47 league appearances across four seasons. His busiest campaign there came in 2016–17, when he played 15 league matches, a decent foothold for a goalkeeper trying to move from promise into regular senior football.
Before and around that Forest spell, early loans helped give him the practical education goalkeepers tend to need: games, mistakes, recovery, and the unglamorous work that does not always show up neatly on a CV. Forest remained the club where that development was most visible.
At Hibernian in 2025–26, Smith has made six league appearances, along with two in Europa League qualifying and four in Conference League qualifying. That gives him 12 appearances in all competitions for the Edinburgh club so far.
Smith’s career has been shaped chiefly by Nottingham Forest, with Hibernian now the latest stage of a solid professional path rather than a reinvention.
