Junior Adamu, born on 6 June 2001 (age 24), is an Austrian striker who joined Celtic from Freiburg in February 2026. His current market value is around Β£3.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His clearest early scoring season came at FC Liefering in 2019-2020, when he scored 14 league goals in 20 appearances. That remains the most productive campaign of his senior career, and it gave him the sort of profile that tends to travel well enough, even if goals do not always follow in a straight line.
The move to Celtic came after his time at Freiburg, where his 2025-2026 league return stood at nine appearances and one goal. Since arriving in Glasgow, he has made four league appearances without scoring. His form this season has been solid rather than spectacular, though he has been out of the matchday squad recently, with his last appearance coming in Dundee United 2-0 Celtic on 22 March 2026.
Adamu is still at the stage where his Celtic career is being shaped rather than judged. For now, his path runs from Austria through Germany to Glasgow, with a strong Liefering season behind him and a still modest body of work at Celtic.
