Lewis Ferguson, born on 24 August 1999 (age 26), is a Scotland midfielder with Bologna, where he wears the No 19 shirt and remains a regular first-team presence in 2025-2026.
His most productive league season came at Aberdeen in 2021-2022, when he scored 11 goals in 36 appearances from centre midfield. That return helped frame him as more than a runner in the middle of the park, with enough timing and conviction in the box to make him a reliable scoring threat.
Ferguson has since established himself in Italy with Bologna. In 2025-2026 he has made 25 Serie A appearances, scoring once, along with two outings in the Coppa Italia, two in the Supercoppa and 14 in the Europa League. Across all competitions for Bologna this season, he has played 43 times and scored one goal.
He has also stayed involved with Scotland, making five World Cup qualifying appearances this season and scoring once. His current market value is around £17m, according to Transfermarkt.
Ferguson’s career has moved from a productive spell at Aberdeen to a sustained role at Bologna, with regular club football in Serie A and continued involvement for Scotland.
