Max Watters, born in England on the 23rd March 1999, is a gifted forward, displaying his skills primarily as a striker for Dundee United. He stands at 5ft 11in (1.81m) and tips the scales at 12st 8lb (80kg). When he steps onto the pitch, he does so donning the jersey numbered 36.
Valued at approximately £349k according to Transfermarkt, his football journey began in earnest at Ashford United in the Isthmian League in England. From Ashford, he transferred to Doncaster Rovers in 2018 for an undisclosed fee, a club competing in the League One in England at the time.
Within a month of his arrival at Doncaster Rovers, he was loaned to Grantham Town in the Southern Football League, returning to Doncaster Rovers in June 2019. His stint back at Doncaster was short-lived, he was once again loaned out, this time to Mickleover Sports in the Lower Leagues in England in September of the same year, only to return in November.
In October 2020, he found a new home at Crawley Town in the League Two, before moving to Cardiff City in League One in January 2021. His debut season at Cardiff City saw him make three appearances. He showed promise in the 2021 - 2022 season, making eight appearances and scoring his first goal. The following season had him make 11 appearances for the club.
In July 2021, Watters was loaned to MK Dons in England's League Two, returning to Cardiff City in January 2022. His performances remained consistent in the coming seasons as he made appearances and scored for the club. However, in January 2023, he found himself on loan to Barnsley in League One, where he made seven first team appearances and scored in the 2022-2023 season.
The following season saw him transfer permanently to Barnsley where he once again made seven first team appearances. From Barnsley, he moved north of the border to Dundee United in the Premiership in Scotland in July 2025. His current season at Dundee United has seen him make 18 first team appearances and score twice.
On top of his league appearances, he has also shown his worth in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 for Dundee United with one start, scoring three goals in the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026 and the Conference League Qualifiers from two starts and two substitute appearances.
