Born on 7 June 2004 in Zambia, 21-year-old Miguel Chaiwa is a formidable presence on the football field, known predominantly for his work as a central defensive midfielder. Whilst currently playing for Hibernian in Scotland, Chaiwa started his career in his home country of Zambia, gradually making his way to the Scottish Premiership. Standing tall at 5ft 10in (1.79m) and weighing in at 11st 6lb (73kg), he commands the field with his number 14 jersey. His performances at club level have not gone unnoticed, as he has already represented the Zambia national team.

After rising through the ranks at Shamuel in Zambia's Second Division, he took his talents to Swiss Super League side Young Boys Bern in July 2022 for an undisclosed fee. During his time at Young Boys Bern, Chaiwa made 19 appearances over three seasons (2022 - 2025). A six-month loan stint to FC Schaffhausen in the Swiss 1. Liga Promotion in February 2024 saw him making a notable 14 appearances. Upon the completion of his loan, Chaiwa returned to Young Boys Bern, continuing to make strides there.
In a significant move to Britain, Chaiwa transferred to Hibernian for a fee close to Β£700k in August 2025. He made an impressive entrance to his new club, where he has 14 appearances and one goal to his name in the ongoing 2025 - 2026 season.
In addition to his club duties, Chaiwa has also participated in several tournaments, including the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 for Zambia and Scotland's League Cup and Scottish Cup for Hibernian in the 2025 - 2026 season.
