Mohamed Diomande, born on 30 October 2001 (age 24), is an Ivory Coast midfielder who has become a regular part of the Rangers first team. Primarily used in central midfield, he is not a spectacular profile, but he has been a steady one.
His most productive league season came with FC Nordsjaelland in 2022–23, when he scored five goals in 32 appearances. That campaign gave him a useful platform before his move into Scottish football with Rangers.
In 2025–26, Diomande has remained firmly involved. He has made 29 league appearances for Rangers, scoring once, alongside two League Cup games, two Scottish Cup games, six in Champions League qualifying and five in the Europa League, where he has also scored. Across all competitions for Rangers this season, he has made 44 appearances and scored twice.
His form has been solid and consistent rather than eye-catching, which is often enough to keep a midfielder in the side. He has also been involved internationally, making four appearances for Ivory Coast in African World Cup qualifying this season.
Diomande’s career so far has taken him from a productive spell in Denmark to regular first-team football at Rangers, with international involvement now part of the picture. He remains an established presence in their midfield in 2025–26.
