Munashe Garananga, born on 18 January 2001 (age 25), is a Zimbabwean central defender now with Hibernian. His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
The main body of his senior career so far has come at FC Copenhagen. Across two seasons there, he made 16 league appearances and scored once, with that goal coming in the 2025–26 campaign, when he played five league matches. It is a modest enough total, but still the spell that gives his career its clearest shape to this point.
At Hibernian in 2025–26, Garananga has made four appearances in all competitions, including two in the league, without scoring. His form has been solid rather than showy, though he has been out of the matchday squad in recent weeks, with his last appearance coming in Hearts 1-0 Hibernian on 10 February 2026.
He has also been involved with Zimbabwe this season, making seven appearances in African World Cup qualifying. For now, his career reads as that of an established professional defender whose most meaningful club spell remains FC Copenhagen, with Hibernian the next stage rather than the finished picture.
