Nicky Devlin, a native of Scotland, was born on 17 October 1993, making him 32 years old. Primarily a right back, he currently plies his trade at Aberdeen, donned with the esteemed number 2 jersey. Standing at 6 feet (1.83m), and weighing in at 12 stone 6 lb (79kg), he is a sturdy presence on the pitch. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at roughly €450k, which equates to nearly £380k.
Devlin embarked on his professional journey with Dumbarton in League Two in Scotland, joining them in July 2010. His inaugural season of 2010-2011 came with 23 first-team appearances in league matches. He would maintain a somewhat similar performance level in the 2012-2013 season, making 16 appearances for Dumbarton.
In May 2011, Devlin escalated to the Premiership with a move to Motherwell. There was no public disclosure of the transfer fee. However, this stint was brief, as in January 2012, he was loaned out to Stenhousemuir in League One. Here, Devlin played six and eight games respectively in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons, before culminating the 2013-2014 season with 30 competitive appearances.
The constant switch of environments continued for Devlin, as he was loaned again, this time back to Dumbarton. However, this detour lasted only till March 2013, when a loan move back to Stenhousemuir materialised. In this period at Stenhousemuir, Devlin once again saw considerable playtime, clocking a hefty 30 matches in the 2013-2014 season.
In July 2013, Devlin's commute ceased as he officially transferred from Motherwell to Stenhousemuir. Then, in July 2014, he took a step up from League One to Championship, sealing a move to Ayr United. At Ayr United, Devlin added goals to his game, netting two and one respectively in the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons, whilst making more than 30 appearances in each campaign. His 2016-2017 season was equally impressive with 34 appearances.
In July 2017, Devlin relocated south of the border, signing with Walsall in League Two in England. Following a single season with 18 appearances, he returned to Scotland with Livingston in the Premiership. In his tenure at Livingston, spanning from 2019 to 2023, he proved himself a regular and reliable performer, making over 30 appearances and scoring two goals per season.
Devlin's latest move in July 2023 took him to Aberdeen. With Aberdeen, he made 37 first team appearances in the 2023-2024 season, scoring two goals, and has since continued to impress with regular appearances and goals.
Beyond the league, Devlin has also represented Aberdeen in domestic and European competitions. He took part in the League Cup 2025-2026, Conference League 2023-2024, and Conference League 2025-2026, notching up starts and scoring a goal in the latter.
