Nikola Moro, born on 12 March 1998 (age 28), is a Croatian defensive midfielder whose senior career has settled firmly around Bologna. He wears the number 6 shirt and is valued at around £5.5m by Transfermarkt.
Before Bologna became the main body of his work, Moro’s most productive league campaign came at Dynamo Moscow in 2020-2021, when he scored three goals in 24 appearances. That remains the outlier in scoring terms, which says enough about the type of midfielder he is.
At Bologna, he has become a steady Serie A presence rather than a headline act. Across five seasons he has made 101 league appearances and scored three league goals, with the bulk of his value coming from structure, positioning and availability. In 2025-2026 he has remained involved, making 30 Serie A appearances with one goal, plus one Coppa Italia appearance, two in the Supercoppa and 11 in the Europa League.
He has also stayed in Croatia’s plans, making four appearances in European World Cup qualifying this season. Moro’s career is not cluttered with reinventions: Dynamo Moscow gave him a platform, but Bologna has given him the sustained first-team role that now defines him.
