The tale of Panutche Camará, born 28th February 1997 in Guinea-Bissau, provides a stirring example of a talent doggedly ascending the ranks of British football. Camará, who fills the role of central midfielder, now plies his trade at Dundee United in Scotland, proudly adorning the number 8 jersey. Standing 6ft tall (1.85m), and tipping the scales at 11st 6lb (73kg), this robust athletic presence has proven his worth at the heart of several midfields.
Still relatively young, Camará's current market value is roughly £299k, information courtesy of Transfermarkt.
Camara's commitment to the beautiful game led him from Dulwich Hamlet in England's lower leagues, to Crawley Town in League Two, in July of 2017. The fee for this move was, at the time, undisclosed. In his debut season of 2017 - 2018 with Crawley, Panutche proved himself in 18 first team appearances.
By August 2020, Camará was on the move once more. He transferred from Crawley to Plymouth Argyle, one tier up in League One. The following season, he changed shores again, this time to Ipswich Town, a club in England's Championship league. The cost of this move was around £500k, again a reflection on his steady rise in the professional echelons.
In July 2023, Camará left Ipswich Town to join Charlton Athletic, still positioned within England's Championship, though this move was a temporary loan. The next step for our steadfast midfielder was a return to Crawley Town, back down to the League Two, in August of 2024. For his second innings at Crawley, Camará had a repeat of his first season with the team, with another 18 first-team appearances.
The most recent transfer in Camara's career has been his move to Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership, which took place in July 2025 for an undisclosed sum. During the current 2025 – 2026 season with Dundee United, Camará has proven a steadfast performer, turning out in 22 first-team league matches. Furthermore, he's had outings in the League Cup, the Scottish Cup (scoring a goal in the process), and Conference League Qualifiers.
