Ross Doohan is a Scottish goalkeeper, born on 29 March 1998 (age 26), whose career has had a clear Celtic thread without ever quite turning into a settled first-team story.
He was on Celtic’s books early in his career and left in August 2017 for Greenock Morton, a move that gave him the chance to find senior football away from the usual queue of goalkeepers at Lennoxtown. That was sensible enough. Young keepers rarely develop by watching from the side.
Doohan later returned to Celtic in June 2021 from Dundee United. His time around the club brought a Premiership title, though his league involvement was limited, with his most active league campaign coming in 2020-21 when he made two appearances. He also has a Scottish Cup win from elsewhere in his career.
According to Transfermarkt, his market value is around £213,000. Doohan’s career has been that of a professional goalkeeper working for opportunities rather than a player handed a straight path, with Celtic an important but not all-consuming part of the story.
