Samuel Chukwueze, born on 22 May 1999 (age 27), is a Nigerian right winger whose senior career has been shaped above all by his years at Villarreal.
He spent five seasons in Villarreal’s league side, making 155 league appearances and scoring 21 goals. That was the spell that gave his career its substance: regular football, European-level scrutiny, and enough end product to make him more than just a wide player with pace. His best league return came in 2022-23, when he scored six times in 37 appearances.
Chukwueze later moved on to a more unsettled phase. In 2025-26, he made 23 league appearances for Fulham, scoring three goals, before recording one league appearance for AC Milan, where he is listed as a right winger wearing number 21.
He has also remained involved with Nigeria, making nine appearances in African World Cup qualifying during the same season. His career is not short of later chapters, but the strongest body of work remains the long Villarreal spell.
