Sead Kolasinac, born on 20 June 1993 (age 32), is a Bosnia and Herzegovina international who has settled into life at Atalanta as a centre-back. His market value is around £8.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Kolasinac’s career was shaped in Germany before he moved into the bigger leagues, with his loan return to Schalke from Arsenal in 2021 giving him a useful reset after a difficult period in England. He later moved on to Marseille, where his most productive league season came in 2022-23: four goals in 33 appearances, a decent return for a defender not exactly employed for decorative finishing.
Atalanta have continued to use him regularly. In 2025-26 he has made 28 appearances in all competitions, including 19 in Serie A, three in the Coppa Italia and six in the Champions League, without scoring. He has also remained involved with Bosnia and Herzegovina, featuring in their World Cup campaign and European qualifying matches.
Kolasinac is now an experienced defender still holding down a first-team role in Italy. His career has taken him through Germany, England, France and Serie A, with enough adaptability to keep him relevant well into his thirties.
