Tawanda Maswanhise, born on 20 November 2002 (age 23), is a Zimbabwe international left winger whose senior career has been shaped chiefly at Motherwell. He wears squad number 18 and is valued at around £3m by Transfermarkt.
Motherwell is where his career has gathered its weight. Across two league seasons he has made 64 appearances and scored 23 goals, with the 2025–26 campaign clearly his most productive: 17 league goals in 34 games. That is not background noise; it is the main body of his work so far.
He has remained a regular first-team presence in 2025–26, adding seven League Cup appearances and four goals, plus two Scottish Cup appearances and one goal. Across all competitions for Motherwell this season, he has made 45 appearances and scored 23 goals. He has also been involved with Zimbabwe, making seven appearances in African World Cup qualifying and two Africa CON appearances, scoring once there.
Maswanhise is still a developing player, but his Motherwell spell is already substantial. His career to this point is a straightforward one: a Zimbabwe winger making himself relevant through regular football and a strong scoring return at Fir Park.
