Zac Sapsford, born on the 16th of August 2002, is a striking force on the football pitch hailing from Australia. Currently 23 years of age, he plays in the forward position, primarily as a striker, for Dundee United. With a height of 5ft 10in (1.78m) and weighing 11st (70kg), Sapsford's physical presence is as imposing as his skillset. He is easily recognised on the field carrying his number 9 jersey with pride.
His professional journey began in his home country in July 2022. He started at Sydney FC in the A-League and shortly after, he moved to Western Sydney Wanderers, also an A-League club. According to Transfermarkt, in his debut season (2022-2023) at the Wanderers, he made four appearances in first team league matches.
Over the course of two years, Sapsford showed a marked progression at the Wanderers. In the following season, 2023-2024, his appearances increased, playing a total of 12 matches and scoring two goals for the first team. Then in the 2024-2025 season, Sapsford's consistent performance earned him 25 appearances with the team, over double the previous season. To top off his growing influence, he managed to net eight goals for the club.
Arising interest from Europe led Sapsford to chart new waters in his professional journey. In the summer of 2025, he made the leap from Australian soil to the Scottish Premiership, signing with Dundee United, the fee which was kept undisclosed.
Ever since donning the Dundee colours, Sapsford has maintained an uplifting form. For the present season, 2025-2026, he's already tallied nine appearances, scoring three goals on Scottish soil. Not limited to the domestic front, Sapsford has also made his mark in the Conference League Qualifiers 2025-2026, where he scored two goals spanning over four starts for Dundee United.
