Jeyland Mitchell, born on 29 September 2004 (age 21), is a Costa Rica central defender with Sturm Graz. His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His senior career is shaped almost entirely by Sturm Graz. Across two seasons he has made 19 league appearances and scored one league goal, with 2025–26 his main breakthrough campaign. That season has brought 19 Bundesliga appearances, one goal and seven Europa League outings, leaving him on 26 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Mitchell has also stayed in the Costa Rica picture, making three World Cup qualifying appearances in North and Central America and three Gold Cup appearances this season, scoring once in qualifying.
At this stage, he is a regular first-team presence at Sturm Graz rather than a player with a long trail of clubs behind him. His career is still developing, but the shape of it so far is clear enough: Sturm Graz first, Costa Rica increasingly part of the picture.
